Free Energy: Plico Members Referral Program

Our referral programs are designed to help you, our valued Members, help us, Plico Energy, grow our Plico Community and create a greater impact at a local household level – on our communities and on Climate Change, which impacts all of us.

As a thank you for referring your friends and family we will reward you – and them – with Free Energy on, and subject to, the terms and conditions as follows.

Terms & Conditions - 4 Weeks Free Energy Earth Day Promotion 

1. Definitions

Free Energy and Available Free Energy Value: Four (4) Week’s worth of Plico Energy Fees which will be applied to reduce the holder’s next monthly Plico account in accordance with paragraph 6 below. Awarded to both Existing Member Referrals and to New Contacts who receive a Plico System installation. 

Pending Free Energy Value: Four (4) Week’s worth of Plico Energy Fees which is pending approval pursuant to paragraph 2.2 below. 

Cancelled Free Energy Value: Four (4) Week’s worth of Plico Energy Fees which has been cancelled pursuant to paragraph 2.3 below.

Existing Member: Someone who has been through Plico’s approvals process and had a Plico system installed at their designated property.

New Contact: Someone who has not previously had a Plico system installed as part of the Plico Energy Project.

Plico: Plico Energy.

Plico Energy Project: CEPCO 2019 Pty Ltd.

Free Energy Value: Each Available Free Energy has a value which is equal to a week’s fee for Member’s system at the time of the successful installation of the New Contact. 

2. Allocation

2.1 Subject to the paragraph 2.2:

2.1.1
an Existing Member will receive Four (4) Week’s worth of Free Energy for a successful referral (where the New Contact has a Plico system installed at their designated property); and

2.1.2
a New Contact who has a Plico system installed at their designated property and who was successfully referred by an Existing Member will receive Four (4) Week’s worth of Free Energy; and

2.1.3
the New Contact signs up and pays their $250 Membership Fee by 11:59pm, 30 April 2021; and

2.1.4
the New Contact signs their Plico contract and organises installation of their Solar Battery System by 31 May 2021

2.2
Upon receipt of an application from a New Contact who has been referred by an Existing Member, each Free Energy Value will initially be issued as a Pending Free Energy Value and will, subject to paragraph 2.3, become an Available Free Energy Value once the installation of the New Contact’s Plico system is complete.

2.3
A Pending Free Energy Value will not be converted into an Available Free Energy Value (and will be cancelled with immediate effect) if any of the following occur:

2.3.1
the New Contact doesn’t meet Plico’s credit requirements or fails the title-deed check;

2.3.2 the New Contact’s application is not approved by Synergy for any reason;

2.3.3 the New Contact’s application is not approved by Western Power for any reason;

2.3.4
the Plico system ordered by the New Contact is not installed for any other reason, including without limitation cancellation by the New Contact during the cooling off period or termination of their application due to a default by the New Contact.

2.3.5
Plico Energy may elect to provide an opportunity to earn additional or bonus Free Energy as part of a promotion, at the discretion of the Plico Energy team.

3. How to refer someone

Existing Members can earn Free Energy when their family and friends include the Existing Member’s email when signing up via the Referral Form on the 4 Weeks Free Energy Earth Day Referrer page:

Below are the methods by which you can provide a referral to friends/family:

3.1
A physical “referral” card provided by the Existing Member to the New Contact containing the Existing Member’s email address and a URL to the Refer a Friend page on the Plico website. This card can be referenced by the New Contact to complete the Referral Form on the Plico website
where they will need to manually input the details contained on the referral card.

3.2
A digital link received by the Existing Member from the Plico Energy team via email, that can be forwarded or shared with prospective New Contacts within the referrer’s network. This can be shared by email or across the Existing Member’s social media accounts and will automatically populate the “referrer” field on the Referral Form on the website. This link will contain a unique code which enables us to track Free Energy back to the Existing Member.

3.3
Word of mouth. Existing Members can simply tell friends and family to use the Existing Member’s email when the New Contact completes the Referral Form on the Plico website.

4. How to nominate your referrer and claim your Free Energy

As a New Contact wishing to join the Plico movement you need to complete the appropriate Referral Form on the Plico website. You will need to input the Existing Member’s email to nominate them as your Referrer to both receive Free Energy.

5. Handling unrecognised referrers

There may be cases where our team will not be able to recognise which Existing Member has made the referral. In this instance, our team may need to phone either party to confirm the referrer details

An unrecognised referral will not stop the New Contact’s application from being processed.

 

6. Consuming your Free Energy

Once a Pending Free Energy becomes an Available Free Energy, its Value will be automatically applied against the holder’s next account on the next GoCardless payment run.

We will send you an email every time a Free Energy is applied, telling you why, and letting you know how many Free Energy you have left, if any, and what they can do to earn more.

Once a Free Energy Value has been applied in the manner set out above, it will have no further value. We will however continue to keep records of these Free Energy Values for auditing and dispute-resolution purposes.

Whilst Free Energy has monetary value, they cannot be exchanged or redeemed for cash.

Free Energy Values are non-transferable.

7. General

Plico Energy may cancel or amend this referral program at any time, in its sole discretion. Cancellation of this program will not affect any Free Energy which have been earned before termination.

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Western Australia.
