Terms & Conditions 

Reviews + Referrals Member Promotion | August to September 2024

Our Reviews + Referrals Member Promotion (Promotion) is designed to help Plico members gain access to increased referral rewards. 

By indicating that You wish to participate in the Referral Program or Super Referral Program as indicated in the terms and conditions, You accept and agree to be bound by our Member Referral Terms and Conditions at all times.

By indicating that You wish to participate in the Promotion as indicated in the terms and conditions, You accept and agree to be bound by these the Promotion terms and conditions at all times.   

Reviews + Referrals Member Promotion Terms & Conditions   

1.1. The Promoter is Plico, us, our, we: CEPCO 2022 Pty Ltd ABN 73 664 797 102, CEPCO 2019 Pty Ltd ABN 36 634 959 845, or Starling Energy Group Pty Ltd ABN 47 617 042 592 trading as Plico Energy as appropriate located at L2 46 Edward Street, Osborne Park WA 6017.  

1.2. Promotion Period: Starts 9:00 AM 1 August 2024 and Ends 11:59 PM 30 September 2024.  

1.3. Existing Member, You: A person (a) who has satisfied the requirements of Plico’s approvals process; (b) has and had a Plico system installed at their designated property; and (c) whose VPPSA has not been terminated for any reason and (d) is eligible under the Plico Referral Program.

1.4. Eligible Review: A review posted publicly online on either of these review platforms - Google, Facebook and/or Product Review. 

2. Allocation 

2.1  When an Existing Member meets the requirements for the Promotion, Plico may give:

2.1.1  A Bonus Referral on an Existing Member's referral tally record, up to a maximum of two Bonus Referral counts. 

2.1.2  An Existing Member Super Referrer status if they reach five referral counts as a result of one or two Bonus Referrals being applied to the Existing Member's referral tally. 

2.1.3. Up to two Bonus Referrals only per Plico contract (which may include multiple Existing Members).

2.1.4. Up to two Bonus Referrals only, inclusive of any Bonus Referrals already applied in former Promotions. 

2.2  An Eligible Review will be deemed to have occurred if the following conditions are met:

2.2.1. An Existing Member posts a public online review of Plico on Google.

2.2.2. An Existing Member posts a public online review of Plico on Facebook.

2.2.3. An Existing Member posts a public online review of Plico on Product Review.

2.2.4. An Existing Member alerts Plico of their review if they have used an alternate name or email address to what is on their Plico contact record. 

2.2.5. The review is posted between 1 August 2024 and 30 September 2024. 

3.1 Existing Members become eligible for Bonus Referrals by posting Eligible Reviews on the following platforms:

3.1.2  Facebook Review - https://www.facebook.com/PlicoEnergy/reviews 

3.1.3  Product Review - https://www.productreview.com.au/listings/plico/write-review 

3.2  Existing Members may need to create accounts to post reviews on these platforms and for the Existing Member to complete an Eligible Review. 

4.1 Plico makes no representation or guarantees that a Bonus Referral or equivalent will be available following any review.

4.2. While we understand you may want to tell your friends about the benefits of a Plico System, an Existing Member is not authorised to bind Plico in any way or make any representation or statement on behalf of Plico. You write a review as an independent Existing Member of Plico. 

4.3. Exclusive Relationship

4.3.1. You understand and agree that you are only the User of our services and/or products (a Plico Member), and refrain from implying any other affiliation or legal relationship with us.

4.3.2. You understand and agree that you are never authorised to legally bind our company.

4.3.3. You must never create any materials that contain our branding, trademark, (part of) our corporate identity.

4.3.4. By participating in the Referral Program, you must not represent yourself in duplicate, agent or intermediary of our company.

4.4. Amendments and Cancellation

4.4.1. Plico Energy may cancel or amend these terms, the Promotion and the Referral Program or Super Referral Program at any time on giving reasonable notice, in its sole discretion. We may offer and/or restrict additional incentives, benefits and programs. As a result, additional terms may apply. You agree that you are aware of those amended and additional terms. Any amended terms and conditions will be notified to all existing Members and made available on the Plico Energy website. Cancellation of this program will not affect any Bonus Referrals which have been earned or distributed before termination, and these terms will continue to apply to those Bonus Referrals. 

4.5 Privacy and Information

4.5.1. You undertake to respect the privacy rights of the people you invite to our Referral Program and direct to our website. 

4.5.2. All personal information collected and processed as part of this Promotion will be used in accordance with Plico’s Privacy Policy, available here. Under the applicable laws and regulations, Plico shall be responsible for collecting and processing such personal information. 

4.6. Violations and Termination

4.6.1. In case we suspect any violations of these terms or otherwise tampering with, fraud or unreasonable use of our Promotion or Referral Program, we may in our sole discretion cancel the distribution of any discount, benefit or payout. 

4.6.2. If you are a current or former employee, contractor or affiliate of our company, we may restrict your participation in the Promotion, and we may restrict or cancel your participation with immediate effect. 

4.6.3. You must comply with all applicable laws and regulations, and refrain from violating any third-party rights. These rights include any copyright, trademark or other proprietary rights.

4.7. Disclaimer and Indemnification

4.7.1. We offer our Promotion and its benefits only on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We may remove, change and update the Promotion in our sole discretion. We will never make any promises or guarantees about the content and information of our Promotion. We disclaim our responsibility for any information that is incorrect or has errors. 

4.7.2. Our Promotion is based on our best efforts. You acknowledge and agree that we can never guarantee any benefit or result from participating in the Promotion.

4.7.3. You will defend, indemnify and hold Plico and its affiliates harmless from and against all claims, damages, liabilities, losses, expenses and costs (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising out of your participation in the Promotion.

4.8. No Correspondence, Disputes and Refunds

4.8.1. With regard to the distribution of discounts, vouchers, incentives, prizes, awards or other benefits, no correspondence will be entered into. Moreover, we shall never respond to any complaint or accept any dispute about the Promotion, and the abovementioned benefits are provided “as is” and we never refund or exchange such benefits.

4.9. Restrictions

4.9.1. You must not at any time, invite or refer people who are unknown to you, including through review platforms.

4.9.2. You must only use our Referral Program for personal use and refrain from its use for commercial purposes. 

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Western Australia.
