Solar rebates in Perth
The great news is solar rebates or STCs are available in Perth. The amount you get rebated will depend on where exactly in Perth you live, as well as the size of your solar system. But don’t worry, Plico will calculate your STC for you when you sign up, and the rebate will be factored into your low weekly instalment.
One thing to bear in mind is solar rebates can go up and down depending on government policy. Currently in Australia, the solar rebate is due to end by 2030, with the rebate decreasing each year. This means the sooner you sign up for solar in Perth, the more money you’ll save.
Battery rebates in Perth
From 1 July 2025, the WA Government is offering rebates for solar batteries. WA households could access up to $1,300* for Synergy customers and up to $3,800* for Horizon Power customers, determined by the size of the battery. Plus, households can access a 30% discount through the National Battery Rebate scheme.
Battery systems will be connected to a Virtual Power Plant (VPP) to access the WA Battery Rebate. Plico has been selected as the only independent VPP provider, with proven experience in VPP capability and generating financial rewards for our members.
*Rebates subject to eligibility.
How much does a solar system cost?
We understand the cost of living is causing financial headaches. Perth households can ease these financial pressures by installing solar panels and taking advantage of Perth's naturally sunny climate. It’s a no-brainer.
With Plico, there’s no big upfront installation cost; instead, for a low weekly instalment, you can enjoy 24/7 solar, with ongoing support for the length of your contract with us.
Our pricing starts from just one low weekly instalment.
Here at Plico, we’re focused on delivering real cost savings and value for money, which is why we offer a free no-obligation call or site visit to determine the right system for you before we install.

How much will I save?
Your exact savings will depend on the size of your system, how much energy you use and a few other factors, like roof orientation and your current electricity provider’s tariffs. But the sunshine Perth has on offer almost all year round will definitely score you more energy savings. Use our savings calculator to find out how much you might be able to save with a Plico system.
What size solar system do I need?
At Plico we assess our customers’ homes, energy use and solar needs before recommending what size solar system is available. We also factor in your roof orientation, how much space you have and how much sunlight you’re exposed to (the good news for solar panels in Perth is that’s usually a lot!).
The average residential solar system in Australia is 9.3 kW, but in WA, it’s 8.63 kW because of how much sunlight we receive.
We have prepared a guideline to give you some indication of what size solar system might suit your needs. For a tailored assessment of what would best suit you, why not reach out to our switched-on team?

The amount of savings is based on electricity consumption only, the daily supply charge has not been factored in. The amount of savings does not factor in the costs of the system, regardless of whether it's paid upfront or on a credit contract. The amount of the annual bill savings factors in feed in tariff amounts for any kilowatt-hours exported back to the grid, it does not factor in any export limiting of the inverter. For monthly bills between $100 and $130 amounts, the annual savings amount is greater than the annual bill amount, due to feed in tariff credits for amounts exported back to the grid.
