What is it?
Plico Energy is a clean energy system
Individual households and businesses contribute to a local community Virtual Power Bank, limiting their consumption of traditional climate-harming energy sources.
A Virtual Power Bank (VPB) is a network of solar photovoltaic (PV) panels and battery systems working together to generate and store energy.
The VPB can provide 6.5MW of solar at peak, 7.2 GWH of energy per year and displace 7KT of carbon emissions (CO²-e) every year, enabling all community members to achieve 90% renewable energy consumption (based on 1,000 systems).
Each standard installation* includes:
- 5.5KVA Redback Inverter System
- 6.6kW Suntech 300w Solar PV (Photovoltaics) Panels
- 7.2kW Pylontech (LiFePo4) Battery
This system effectively empowers households and businesses to produce their own energy, without relying on the traditional grid.
*Your current energy consumption rate will help determine the number of inverter units required to power your home and/or business. A consultation will take place prior to installation, to ensure the right equipment is in place to provide you with peace of mind.
Virtual Power Bank
All formed the opinion that the future of our grid lies with decentralised photovoltaics (PV) and batteries.
Our investors SUSI purchases the equipment and then contracts to households and businesses within the communities from as little as $36.50 per week – the cost of a daily coffee.
There is no set financial cap from SUSI or a limit on people signing up to Plico Energy.
Our agreement with SUSI will see them contributing funds through to 2029. After that, they will leave the Plico Energy community with valuable VPB Energy Assets. The community, with assistance from Starling Energy Group, can then continue to seek benefits from the VPB into the future.
By signing up to Plico Energy you’re not only helping protect our environment, you’re also providing a helpful hand to your local community.
A core vision of Plico Energy is ensuring the continued improvement of the community, both from a clean energy and sustainable financial model, which is why we have also introduced the Community Fund.
