Community is at the heart of everything we do at Plico, and much of this ethos is embodied in the work of the Plico Community Council (PCC). The PCC is a not-for-profit association that all Plico members are part of. Community impact is the key focus of the PCC, achieved by investing in community groups to deliver innovative projects that have a positive impact on the planet, and by supporting Plico members directly when they need it.
The PCC Committee makes decisions about where the Plico Future Fund and Hardship Fund is invested. At the PCC AGM in November, the Committee, led by PCC Chair Jamie Ball, presented its 2024-2025 activities and demonstrated the collective power of the Plico community.
Thanks to every Plico member for being part of this journey. Together, we’re proving that community-powered energy can deliver real benefits—for our homes, our neighbours and our planet. Jamie Ball, Plico Community Council Chair
Three community projects received financial support last financial year from the Plico Future Fund. The projects included a dieback management trailer and two event waste minimisation initiatives. Seven Plico members received direct financial support.
This commitment to community has been part of the Plico story from the very beginning. As Plico's community grows, the collective impact of our community strengthens.
The past 12 months have been transformative for Plico and our growing community. Together, we’ve continued to lead the way in building Australia’s clean energy future — proving that when communities work together, real change happens. Mike Kilcullen, Plico Co-Founder
